As the curtain falls on 2024, Semrush celebrates a year of milestones, innovation, and meaningful connections within our community.

It’s been a year dedicated to empowering marketers, businesses, and creators to succeed in the digital landscape. Looking ahead, we’re doubling down on supporting organizations and teams of all sizes to achieve their goals with cutting-edge tools, actionable insights, and opportunities for more collaboration. In 2024, our global community grew at an unprecedented pace, we launched some of our most innovative products yet, the Semrush team reached new heights, and our platform saw rapid adoption across industries worldwide. Here’s a look back at some of the biggest moments that defined 2024:

1. We redefined Enterprise SEO with the launch of Semrush Enterprise

In 2024, we raised the bar with the launch of Semrush Enterprise, our boldest innovation yet for businesses with big ambitions. This powerhouse platform is built to tackle the unique challenges of enterprise SEO. It leverages powerful AI and Semrush's extensive database—exceeding 26+ billion keywords and over 43 trillion backlinks—to deliver actionable insights and simplify complex workflows. Tasks that once took days are now completed in minutes.
And it’s already making waves! Brands like HSBC, LG, Samsung, DoorDash, and Salesforce have jumped on board, proving that when it comes to SEO, Semrush Enterprise is the real deal. 
From cutting days off complex processes to uncovering insights faster than ever, this is enterprise SEO reimagined.

2. We pioneered the future of AI in marketing

2024 wasn’t just about big business; it was about driving innovation and staying ahead of the curve. We strengthened our commitment to simplifying marketing for everyone by harnessing the power of AI, with more than 10 new AI-related products and numerous AI updates in the existing tools and apps.
We expanded our AI capabilities across our platform, integrating smarter features into Keyword Overview, Keyword Magic Tool, Position Tracking, Keyword Strategy Builder, Social Media Tools, and My Reports. 
These updates have empowered marketers with tailored keyword difficulty insights through Personal KD%, enhanced their positioning as niche leaders with Topical Authority, improved keyword opportunity evaluation with Potential Traffic Prediction, and helped them better understand AI-driven SERP features to increase their chances of being featured.
Semrush now provides data uniquely tailored to specific domains, moving beyond abstract numbers to give users clear, actionable insights for smarter decision-making.
Meanwhile, the launch of Semrush Copilot introduced a game-changing AI-powered assistant that delivers personalized SEO alerts and actionable recommendations, saving users countless hours.

Generative AI took center stage in our mission to make marketing easier and more impactful in our App Center as well. From the introduction of AdCreative.ai’s AdLLM Spark to the upgraded ContentShake AI—now featuring AI Images—we’ve armed marketers with tools to effortlessly create high-performing content and visually stunning campaigns. 
We launched AI Keyword Inspector for App Store Optimization which recommends high-performing keywords for developers and marketers to use when listing and advertising their apps for increased visibility and downloads.
Bonus— it’s not AI (but still a big moment): we introduced Daily Traffic Analytics Monitoring in .Trends, allowing businesses to monitor their competitors’ website traffic in near real-time. Now, marketers can react faster to shifts, spot trends earlier, and make data-driven decisions with unprecedented speed and confidence. This update is changing how businesses approach competitive intelligence.

For e-commerce sellers, the release of AlgoPix’s Product Research Pulse has made informed product development and strategic marketing easier than ever.

3. We amplified our impact through strategic acquisitions

Innovation was just the start in 2024—we also strengthened our ecosystem with key acquisitions and integrations that elevate the value we deliver to marketers.
  • Traffic Think Tank brought world-class marketing education directly to our platform, equipping marketers with the insights and skills needed to excel in an evolving digital landscape.
  • Brand24 through our majority stake in Brand24 we partnered to expand our capabilities in brand monitoring and sentiment analysis, empowering users to better understand and manage their online reputation.
  • Ryte enhanced our offering by boosting website health and user experience, helping marketers improve technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, and usability for better performance and conversions.
  • Exploding Topics gave marketers the edge to identify trends before they hit the mainstream, enabling faster, more relevant strategies.
  • Datos added depth to our analytics suite, delivering unparalleled precision and insights to guide smarter decision-making.
  • Third Door Media, a leader in marketing education, reinforced our position as a top resource with industry-leading publications like Search Engine Land and MarTech, keeping marketers informed and ahead of the curve.
These acquisitions reflect our commitment to building an ecosystem that not only meets the needs of today’s marketers but also anticipates the demands of tomorrow.

4. We connected with our community like never before

Beyond tools and features, we focused on empowering our community. The Spotlight Conference in Amsterdam brought together over 1,000+ attendees for a day of bold ideas and actionable insights, solidifying Semrush as a thought leader in the marketing world.

5. We reached new milestones in our journey

Semrush has come a long way since its inception in 2008, when we built our first SEO product. Over the years, we’ve grown from a small startup into a global leader in digital marketing tools and insights.

7. We made headlines around the world

Semrush continued to make waves in the media throughout 2024, solidifying our reputation as a leader in digital marketing. From mentions in major publications like Benzinga, The Washington Post and TechRadar to TV appearances that highlighted our expertise in AI and marketing trends, our presence is stronger.
